Another day, another post

Okay, so my life isn't really that interesting as of late. I 've spent the last 6 hours logged on to Freehold while I sit here at work waiting for my day to end. Nothing exciting there. Every so often, LU will unidle herself long enough to say something, then go back to sleep, or whatever it is she's doing. Even Erik hasn't been on today, although I know he hasn't been feeling well lately.

I'm kind of pissed off at amazon.com at the moment, because I ordered a birthday present for my brother, Kevin, last Tuesday, and the damned thing hasn't even been shipped yet! That's the last time I use that super-saver shipping option. Next time, I'll just spend the three bucks and have it shipped standard delivery. According to their website, it's got an estimated ship date of March 22, which is a full week after I ordered it for him.

I am excited about my son coming down to visit me this Friday during his Easter break. I've been looking forward to this since his last visit back at Christmas. I've got some things planned, like bowling and going to the movies and such, but I'm going to let him decide what he wants to do when he gets here.

Anyway, that's about it for me. One more hour to go and then I can get the hell out of here. Why does the time seem to go so slow near the end?

Counting down

It's been a somewhat boring week for me. Well, not entirely without it's high points, that's for sure. My brother, Kevin, came down this past weekend with his girlfriend, Leighann, not to mention Matt and Fawn to celebrate a couple of birthdays (Matt and Kevin - who've been friends for years - have birthdays only 6 days apart). So, from Friday night until late Sunday afternoon, we spent most of the weekend playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. All I can say is that instead of following the storyline of the game, we ended up just fucking off with the character - killing cops, jacking cars, using plenty of cheat codes (not that I cheat with my gaming, but once in a while, it's fun). I don't think I've laughed so hard since my post back in December.

On other topics, I've spent many hours on the phone with my talker friend, Erik, discussing the upcoming Star Wars flick this Spring. I know the first two episodes were not on the same scale as the original three, but this one seems a lot more, well, evil. We all know that Anakin grows up to be the badass Darth Vader, and I'm sure a lot of you have been on the "how he actually became him" kick. Hell, I remember back as a teenager talking about the "falling into a volcano" theory, and that was frigging twenty years ago! But to actually *see* it come to fruition all these years later has my gut all tensed up in anticipation. All I can say is if you get the chance to see the teasers or trailers, do so! You'll see what I mean.

So all I can do now is wait. A little more than two months to go and then the story will be complete. C'mon, May 19th!
