Things to do in Jersey when you're dead

Okay, so it's been almost a week since my last posting and not much has been going on worthy of posting. Christmas came and went, much to my surprise. Well, it wasn't all that surprising. Nothing happened. Gifts were exchanged. Calls were made. Dinner was eaten. Yay!

On a positive note, I picked up my son for his annual Christmas vacation with me. It's been kind of hard. I want to spend lots of time with Ryan, but I can't take any time off from work. Damned company policy; forbidding vacation time to be used during the holidays. Well, at least I get benefits. Not many places here in south Jersey offer benefits of any kind.

Ryan and I have been watching movies, playing countless hours of Star Wars Battlefront together and tomorrow, we're going to be going to a hockey game. It's a shame that the NHL lockout is still going on. I'd love to take him to a Flyers game, but instead, I'm stuck going to an ECHL (that's East Coast Hockey League for all of you non-hockey types) game in Atlantic City. Oh well, at least we're going together, and that's something special.

So, other than that, it's going to be a slow posting week. I want to spend time with my son and write about it later when I have time.
