What lies ahead?
As I sit here typing this, I remember a conversation I had with my friend, Erik last night about the convergence of a lot of natural phenomena lately. I remember reading an article a few weeks ago about life returning to the area where the Garden of Eden once stood after being a barren wasteland for over a decade. Taken by itself, it might not seem like much. But consider these other facts and predictions. The past few years has seen a lot of natural disasters, which many might attribute to Gaia. A rise in hurricanes, tornadoes, the tsunami in December. Lots and lots of death and destruction.
Now add in the belief of the Mayan Calendar stating that the world as we know it will cease to exist after the year 2012. Let's not forget about the Nostadamus quatrain about the Eagle and the Bear aligning to defeat the man in the blue turban (I know, I'm paraphrasing here, but it's to the point).
I guess my point is, where are we heading? Is it something to be afraid of to be embraced with open arms? I don't mean to be maudlin about it, but it's just something that has had me thinking for the past couple of days. Let me know what you think...
