Back to normal
It's now the third day into the new year and things are finally getting sane again around here. I took my son home yesterday, which only took three and a half hours, as opposed to the six to seven that it used to take. Beings that he's that much closer to me now, I can have him stay with me a lot more often, which is a definite plus.
He called me last night, also, to let me know that he asked his mother about him coming to live with me, to which she responded, "I'll think about it." I'm pretty excited about that, since the last time I asked her, she had responded "I don't think it's a good idea." Upon further reflection, she could, a) sincerely mean it, or, b) just saying that so Ryan quits bugging her. I'll find out more when I actually talk to her again.
My brother, Kevin, and his girlfriend, Leighann, went home too, which kind of bummed me out. They left while I was taking Ryan home, so I didn't get to say good-bye. They'll be coming down again in two weeks, but it's always kind of cool when they're here for the holidays. There's a lot more time to spend together.
I have the possibility of one or two women calling me when they get back into town, so I'm kind of excited about that.
So now, it's back to normal. Normal work schedules. Normal routines. Normal, normal, normal. I just hope I don't die of excitement.
